Job Description
The Ad Sales Finance Sr. Analyst for Sports Digital & Streaming will support core ad sales finance processes for the rapidly growing Sports streaming business on Peacock and other NBCU digital endpoints, primarily owning consolidated weekly financial reporting and analysis for all NBCSports and Golf digital properties. The role will also assist with broader NBCU Digital portfolio forecasting and reporting, along with a focus on process development for the expanding Sports FAST ecosystem.
• This role will provide ongoing support to the Director and Sr. Manager of Sports Digital & Streaming in fundamental reporting and analysis related to the rapidly growing streaming business for properties including Golf, College Sports, NASCAR, Horse Racing, SuperMotocross and WWE Premium Live Events
• Ownership and improvement of Sales reporting and metric analysis, identifying key trends and variances
• Support revenue forecasting process (budget, long range plan, estimates)
• Leverage best practices with peers to develop consistent processes for the entire Digital Portfolio
• Execute routine postmortem analysis and ad hoc historical requests
• Assist with sports rights bid models and valuations in collaboration with Business Development
• Support Sports Sales and Finance teams on broader portfolio reporting and analysis, including weekly cash reporting and sales channel demand tracking across NBCSports and Peacock
• Manage Monthly Close process for the NBCU Digital Portfolio, coordinating with Ad Sales and Network finance teams on revenue accounting and recognition across Direct IO, programmatic and partnership revenue streams
• Collaborate with the NBCU Digital & Peacock Ad Sales finance teams on portfolio-wide budgeting and reporting, assisting with weekly Digital Executive reports, owning Industry business survey submissions, and performing ad hoc analysis impacting all business units
• Expand reporting and KPI analysis for the burgeoning FAST ecosystem for NBCSports and GolfPass channels, liaising between Ad Sales and NBCSports Enterprises leadership
• Gain in-depth knowledge of all Sales & Finance systems used for reporting (SAP, Operative, Salesforce, Business Intelligence, etc.)
• Develop expertise in Sports streaming ad market trends, growth, and competition
Qualifications
Qualifications & Characteristics
• BA/BS 4-year degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of finance experience
• Demonstrated analytical strength and process mindset … ability to identify and resolve key issues quickly
• Strong work ethic with an eagerness to proactively help solve problems
• Team player with strong interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to work with key constituents (sales, planning, finance, accounting, etc.)
• Thorough knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Excellent organization skills and proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrates an interest and knowledge of Sports media
Eligibility Requirements
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
