Job Description
The Editor will be responsible for editing content across various sports programs, including both long-form and short-form formats. This includes weekly studio-based programs, live news, digital content, and remote programs such as teases, highlights, packages, voiceovers, and sound on tape. Given the time-sensitive nature of the assignments, the role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to make prompt, well-informed decisions. The Editor reports to the Director of Post Production and should be comfortable working independently when required.
Responsibilities:
• Edit short-form content for sports programs, including 30- and 60-minute shows
• Edit show features and long-form programming
• Edit segments for Pre- and Postgame Live shows, and other studio-based programming
• Edit content for digital platforms
• Create graphics using Avid
• Produce and write highlights, packages, and other editorial content
• Oversee newsroom workflow in the role of Content Supervisor
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• Demonstrated experience with Avid editing software
• Proficient in editing both long-form and short-form content packages
• Experience with color correction and editorial decision-making
• Working knowledge of Interplay or similar media asset management systems
Preferred Skills:
• Advanced experience with Avid and its suit of applications
• Familiarity with Marquee title tool
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Premiere

• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• A proactive team player with a strong work ethic and leadership capabilities
• Flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule, including weekends, evenings, and Holidays (current schedule: Saturday-Wednesday, 4PM to 12AM)
Location:
• This is an in-person role at our downtown New York City headquarters
In accordance with applicable NYC law, the estimated annual salary for this role is $60,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience. This position is overtime eligible and bonus eligible.
