Responsibilities
SNY is an Emmy Award winning regional sports content creator with both linear television and digital platform distribution. SNY provides unparalleled and exclusive coverage of the New York Mets, New York Jets, UConn Women's Basketball and all things New York sports. As New York's leader in local sports coverage, SNY delivers the most comprehensive access to all the Tri-State area's professional and collegiate sports teams through exclusive live games, nightly sports programs, and original entertainment. The linear network serves approximately seven million homes throughout New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and northeastern Pennsylvania, and nationally through select providers. The Senior Media Services Coordinator will oversee the library and archiving /restoring content to and from the archive.
Job Description
• Organize and send content from interplay to the archive in assigned folders
• Restoring content from the archive for newsroom personnel
• Log and put locators on clips with metadata for easy searching
• Assist in hiring, training, and supervising department interns
• Uploading / Downloading melts via Aspera, Signiant, Media Shuttle, and Drop Box.
• Support the deletion and clearing of archives and interplay as needed
• Troubleshooting file retrieval and archiving issues with engineering
• Setting up, creating, and modifying archive profiles
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
• Knowledge of Avid interplay and CloudUX
• Ability to communicate well with others
• Basic knowledge of ingesting content from cards and tape formats.
• Know NY sports and local sports current events.
Required Characteristics:
• Must have working knowledge of Avid Interplay, Media composer and Cloud UX
• Willingness to work non-traditional business days/hours
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Experience using Aspera, Signiant, or other media downloading site is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities
Additional Information
In accordance with applicable NYC law, the estimated hourly rate for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 commensurate with experience. This position is overtime eligible and bonus eligible.
