NBCUniversal Television Everywhere (TVE) is looking for a highly motivated content operations quality leader to develop, oversee, and enforce quality control (QC) standards for our growing digital library on NBC.com and NBCU's TVE apps for NBC, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, SYFY, USA, Telemundo and Universo. Our QC Team is seeking a highly collaborative and solutions-minded leader who thrives in a constantly evolving environment.

As the Senior Manager, Content Operations QC, you'll lead a team of QC Associates to ensure successful digital content delivery to TVE from start to finish. You'll manage and mentor a team, cultivate relationships with partners, and collaborate with a close-knit ecosystem of TVE operations teams. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of our end-to-end QC processes across all workflows and system touchpoints and be a subject matter expert on how things should appear on TVE. You'll maintain excellent documentation, data, and project management processes to guide the team. In addition, you will explore the expansion of workflow efficiencies through projects, including developing a QC automation dashboard and workflow innovation through tools such as Airtable.

Reporting into the Sr. Director, Metadata & Content Operations you'll collaborate on managing the organization, prioritization, and progress of the team's internal optimization and enhancement projects.

Your diligence in driving operational efficiencies will play an instrumental role in advancing NBCUniversal's positioning within the competitive, rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Essential Responsibilities
• Manage and mentor Associate, Content QC roles, and oversee the onboarding and management of any future positions on the QC Team
• Lead QC resource allocation based on scheduling and team priorities
• Cultivate and oversee the QC Team's day-to-day internal and external partner relationships, and manage the operational onboarding of any future partners
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of our end-to-end manual and automated QC processes across all workflows and system touch points, including knowing how things should display on TVE, our QC standard practices for checking, and how to capture, troubleshoot, and escalate found issues
• Support Associates in QC coverage on heavy content days and maintain plans for triaging support from adjacent Content and Video Distribution teams when additional help is needed
• Create, maintain, and revise process maps, workflows, and QC-related documentation to keep our reference materials current and able to support team needs, including role or partner onboarding, explaining our processes to partners, and supporting triaged QC coverage
• Expand efforts to increase the QC Team's efficiency, including advancing our automated QC dashboard project and innovating with tools available to us, such as Airtable
• Monitor TVE analytics and content operation data to maintain records and awareness of key metrics, including QC volume and video starts per type of device per brand
• Collaborate with our broader Video and Content Distribution Team sub-teams - Content Operations, Video Operations, and Content Metadata and QA – for alignment on and improvement of our intra-team operations ecosystem
• Assist with additional projects as required by Video Distribution & Content Operations leadership team

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience managing junior team members
• Strong interest in growing as a people manager and developing team members
• 2+ years of experience overseeing digital operations relating to or including content QC
• 2+ years of project management experience with methodologies such as Agile, Scrum and collaboration products such as JIRA and Confluence
• Superior knowledge of digital content QC field and best practices
• Experience leading and managing projects focusing on operational efficiencies
• Working knowledge of metadata specifications as well as aggregation service providers like Gracenote and TiVo
• Working knowledge of metadata-related programming/markup languages and syntaxes including, but not limited to: XML, JSON
• Familiarity with low- or no-code database systems, such as Excel or Airtable
• Familiarity with media asset management and workflow systems
• Ability to travel to LA office for occasional team workshops and meetings if opting to primarily work remotely

• Familiarity with data insights and metrics tracking tools such as Domo, Tableau and Google Analytics
• Strong communication and prioritization skills
• Demonstrated interest in staying current on industry trends and best practices
• Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage own work as well as track the activities of others
• Spanish-language skills a plus
• Creative problem solver with a willingness to try new strategies
