Universal Pictures International (UPI) owns and operates direct theatrical marketing and distribution of feature films in many locations around the globe including Austria, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and UK & Eire. In other territories UPI market and distribute movies through its JV offices, as well as in select territories, licensees who are contracted to distribute on UPl's behalf as well as production operations, a leading television stations group, and world-renowned theme parks.

This role will provide specialist accounting and financial support and assist in ensuring that all statutory, tax and management reporting requirements are met for Universal Pictures Theatrical businesses

Job Description
• Receiving and coding of invoices
• Perform all bank reconciliations
• Assist in training and management of overseas third-party support, Accenture
• Reviewing and approving travel and expense claims in Concur
• Assisting with month end, quarter end, and year end processes
• Support and assist in coordination of annual statutory audit process, working with external auditor Deloitte
• Management of overhead and other accruals including preparation of Management Summary
• Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts with appropriate supporting documentation for GBS/Blackline reconciliations
• Maintaining fixed asset register
• Preparing of bank reconciliations for all entities
• Assisting with Cash Flow Analysis for all entities
• Invoicing intercompany recharges and communicate with all counterparty entities
• Preparing and Sending OH reports to Sub-entities
• Preparing Mark-up Intercompany and sending at month end for sub-entities
• Liaising with their Finance team for any requests/questions
• Undertaking all other duties as allocated by the Group Financial Controller or the Finance Managers
• Review and Management of old purchase orders
• Assisting and reporting for the Warner bros Licensee deal as well as any licence deal audits
• Preparing BAS returns and lodging them on time
• Assist in preparing of FBT returns and lodging them on time
• Conducting accounting analysis as required
• Ensuring on-going self-development

Qualifications
• Fully qualified accountant (CA or CPA) with at least two years post-qualified commercial experience
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial management including month end processes, and fixed assets
• Good reconciliation, analysis and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a team and supporting the business with appropriate accounting and financial information across multiple stakeholders
• Experience of intercompany accounting
• Good computer literacy, strong Excel and SAP experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Very good interpersonal & communication skills – ability to deal with people at all levels
• Good organisational skills and follow up of outstanding issues
• Hands on, confident, self-starter
