Job Description
Manages the relationships and approval process for usage of 30+ Intellectual Properties (IP) on behalf of Universal Parks & Resorts. Provides clear and detailed explanations for submission requests to get favorable approval responses from our IP stakeholders. Ensures the organization fulfills its contractual obligations to the partners and initiatives are executed and project managed to fulfill Universal Parks & Resorts brand awareness and business objectives.
• Acts as the liaison between Universal Parks & Resorts and 30+ Intellectual Properties (IP) for the submission and processing of contractual mandated approvals.
• Directs internal clients how to modify requests and/or creative in order to obtain a favorable approval response from IP stakeholders.
• Represents and protects Intellectual Properties' brands through communication (written and verbal) and enforces IP guidelines to departments to assist concept selection and directional development of creative. Provides ongoing education to departments to ensure contractual compliance.
• Utilizes working experience with IP stakeholders to aid in the fulfillment of strategic annual planning for our IPs Project manage and/or execute key IP partner plans and initiatives as directed in a manner to increase the value (tangible & non-tangible) of the partnerships.
• Provides recommendations to management to handle requests that have been denied by the IPs including suggested modifications to the original request. Utilizes negotiation skills and techniques with senior level members of the organization.
• Instrumental in task force meetings that concentrate on new attractions and/or shows. Ensures IP stakeholders develop a comfort level with theme park/recreation industry and understands the marketing goals and objectives. In addition, actively participates with the management and execution of IP projects.
• Advises global theme parks of any opportunities developed by one park that may be of interest and benefit to the others. Assist in further research on cross-utilization opportunities as required by theme parks or IP partners.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university required.
EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of experience in Marketing, Advertising or Sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
