OVERVIEW

Universal Pictures International (UPI) is the International Distribution and Marketing division for Universal Pictures. You will be working in an internal Post-Production facility within Universal Pictures International. Primarily servicing content for distribution, marketing and operations departments across UPI, UPCG and other film groups. You will be assisting with the process of ensuring that content adheres to strict specifications and ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality. You will be handling highly sensitive material and expected to adhere to the strictest content protection and anti-piracy guidelines at all times. You will be part of an integrated team and expected to provide workflow assistance and support to the I/O and Dubroom teams when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

⦁ Conduct and attend regular meetings with both QC managers and the Dubroom team to maintain oversight of related work activities, job distribution, progress and planning.


Overseeing and maintaining all aspects of quality control and any ad hoc projects/issues, ensuring that all content meets the required specifications of the client/company.

⦁ To prepare, create and maintain quality control reports on content that has been checked and validated in a timely manner.

⦁ Creating DCPs and facilitating creation of encrypted keys if required.

⦁ Assisting both the Dubroom and IO units by taking on jobs such as file management, rendering and localising content where required.

⦁ Providing regular ad hoc support to colleagues and clients. Acting as a point of contact for clients, advising on workflows and technical queries across the company.

⦁ Provide back up support to the engineering team when attempting to troubleshoot hardware and software issues that arise amongst daily operations.

⦁ Attending internal and external training courses to increase the depth and breadth of relevant working knowledge and related business practices.

⦁ Provide support to the IO & Dubroom teams with the execution and delivery of their workload for extended periods to help alleviate pressures and maintain a streamlined workflow for the teams.

The individual must possess the ability to work independently ensuring the quality of operational responsibilities as well as working collaboratively as part of a team across a variety of business units and client. ABOUT YOU

⦁ An understanding of the film and/or media markets. Theatrical and international experience is desirable
⦁ Boasts relevant experience within quality control
⦁ Holds previous experience with post production workflows
⦁ Has an understanding and knowledge of baseband and physical workflows (desirable but not essential)
⦁ Knowledgeable user of Avid Media Composer, Premiere Pro, and other Adobe software.
⦁ Experience using After Effects, Cinema 4D and other motion graphic software (desirable but not essential)
⦁ Holds previous exposure and experience in audio mixing and/or picture grading (desirable but not essential)
⦁ An understanding and working practice of DCP encoding
⦁ Experience editing sizzles, TP spots and social spots (desirable but not essential)
⦁ Highly computer literate, able to learn new software/hardware and troubleshooting.
⦁ Frequent user of Microsoft applications such as Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook and Word
⦁ Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and proofreading skills as well as an understanding of culturally diverse business environments
⦁ Detail oriented and aware of the importance and impact of data quality
⦁ Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive
