UPI owns and operates direct theatrical marketing and distribution of feature films in many locations around the globe including Austria, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and UK & Eire. In other territories UPI market and distribute movies through its JV offices, as well as in select territories, licensees who are contracted to distribute on UPI's behalf.
Job Description
As a member of the Universal Pictures International Italy Publicity team, reporting to the Senior Publicity Manager and supporting the Italy team, the role is responsible for the following:
• Implementing Publicity Strategy as defined by HO and Senior Publicity Manager
• Monitoring correct upload and distribution of materials on UPImedia
• Coordinating launch and placement of content to targeted outlets
• Maintaining contacts with press and agencies
• Assisting with planning and arranging screenings and publicity activities
• Collating reactions and press reviews
• Creating and setting up new vendor accounts, raising purchase orders (using SAP) and coding invoices for payment, following through as required to ensure timely payment
• Compling nomination charts for press at junkets/publicity events
• Assisting in defining travel & accommodations for travelling press, tours and special events
• Talent handling during local tours and film festivals
• Coordinating local voice talent activities
• Organizing press coverage
• Completing wrap reports on junkets/tour/publicity activities
• Contribute to marketing decks and internal presentations
• Researching new media and exploring new opportunities for publicity development
Qualifications
• Fluent English and Italian. Must have right to work in Italy.
• Knowledge of media and outlets (print, online, broadcast, radio, social)
• Ability to balance and prioritize work across many titles simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Proactive and solution focused with high attention to detail
• Demonstrable ability to research and source ad hoc information independently
• Strong PC skills with advanced knowledge of Office Suite
• Ability to react swiftly and calmly to updates and in person activities
• Succinct problem solver
• Proven experience in a transferable industry or role
• Enthusiastic, passionate and highly motivated
• Interest in film and new forms of communication/interaction
• Fast learner capable of adapting to changing publicity landscape
