Job Description
LXTV Productions is looking for a New York based Production Assistant to work on their lifestyle series and specials, with an emphasis on the travel series 1st Look. LXTV is the National Emmy® award winning lifestyle production company of the NBC Owned Television Stations group, a part of the NBCUniversal Local division. LXTV produces original series and specials, including ''1st Look,'' a travel show which spotlights the best places to eat, play and indulge; ''Open House'' and ''Open House NYC,'' where audiences get a look at America's most lavish homes and get design ideas, advice and inspiration from the industry's emerging and established names; ''George to the Rescue,'' a home improvement show where design and construction experts help families and communities realize their home improvement dreams.
LXTV shows are available on NBC owned and affiliated stations in the US and internationally, on Peacock and the NBCLX Network, as well as through digital out-of-home platforms including taxis, gas stations, buses and nail salons.
Responsibilities:
In the Office
• Booking locations, sending out intro emails to potential collaborators
• Assisting producers with preproduction tasks
• Researching segment ideas to fit the shows theme
• Researching b-roll locations
• Securing permits when necessary
• Booking hotel and travel for host and crew
• Helping with call sheets
• Assist EP with maintaining master schedule/show rundown
• Edit and deliver OOH content (OOH - Out Of Home; i.e. taxis, nail salons, gas pumps, etc.)
• Support other production and projects within the division
Expenses
• Log expenses on concur and deliver to manager promptly
• Collect receipts from Host for reimbursement
Prepping and Maintaining Gear
• Meet with lead producer/director and find out necessary gear for the shoot.
• Go through requested gear to check if operational
• Consolidate gear for travel and FAA restrictions (lithium batteries as carryon)
• For international travel, provide ops department a detailed gear list for Carnet (gear passport)
In the Field
• Maintain gear space in your hotel room (charging batteries, set up DIT station, etc)
• Assist lead producer with releases
• Consolidate gear into go-bags for team, bring out what is necessary for each shoot day
• Shoot supporting camera on shoots (communicate with lead and other photographers on what needs to be filmed)
• Check if all gear is collected before departing each location
• Post Shoot - Collect media from shooters and offload and copy to hard drives in an organized fashion
• Assist Social Manager with Social assets.
Post Production
• Organizing media after shoots and uploading to VPost through Media Shuttle
• Label footage and build Premier project files for the corresponding episode blocks
• Multicam A-Roll scenes
• Assist editors with pulling selects/B-roll
• Assist editors with promos
• Taxi cutdowns of segments delivered on Wednesday before show airdate.
• Assist Social Manager with Social assets
• Communicate with Ops and managers about any gear issues
Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite or in the field on shoots.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Relevant field production experience
• Must possess organizational and problem-solving abilities, pivot quickly when needed
• Superb communicator and relationship builder
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple work streams at the same time
• Must be able to accommodate work schedules; travel is a must
• Knowledge of the latest production techniques, sources, production capabilities, and overall industry best practice
• Knowledge of post-production and understanding of deliverables for all media platforms
• Must be able to work in the NY office as well as remotely
