Job Description

Responsibilities

Implement NBC 10's philosophy of being the most accurate and trusted source for disruptive weather on all platforms
• Tell the market's weather stories in a way that connects with and captivates viewers on all platforms
• Develop innovative and creative ways of presenting the daily weather story
• Work with the weather team and producers to create complete coverage of weather stories
• Breaking Weather Cut-ins
• Use of social media daily and especially during severe events
• Prepare and post forecasts for multiple platforms
• Be available at any time dangerous weather conditions occur
• Keep producers and managers informed of upcoming weather conditions for coverage plans
• Some live reporting and attendance at community and weather-related events will be required
• Make public appearances on behalf of station as an ambassador for the company

Qualifications/Requirements
-Minimum of three years experience as a television meteorologist
-Experience with severe weather coverage
-Degree in meteorology. (Certificates, seals and correspondence courses are not acceptable substitutes for more formalized training)
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced protocols if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols
