Job Description
The Manager, Strategy & Business Development will play an important role as part of a highly visible team evaluating key strategic initiatives for Comcast's upcoming spin-off transaction (referred to here as ''SpinCo''). This team supports SpinCo's CEO and Chief Revenue & Business Officer in resource allocation decisions and identifying pathways to growth through content & media rights acquisitions, strategic partnerships, M&A, and organic opportunities.
This role will focus specifically on opportunities in Sports and Entertainment content across SpinCo's platforms, as well as new business initiatives for SpinCo's portfolio of digital assets (e.g. GolfNow, Fandango, SportsEngine). The position will require the ability to think critically, conduct research and financial analysis, coordinate and build relationships with internal stakeholders and ultimately present findings to executives. This is an exciting opportunity that will provide exposure to senior leadership and the ability to engage in conversations that impact the course of SpinCo's future.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Provide financial modeling support in evaluation of growth initiatives, partnerships and M&A transactions
• Prepare detailed presentations to convey analysis conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership
• Conduct research and evaluate market trends relevant to SpinCo's businesses
• Proactively assist in identifying new business opportunities that align with SpinCo's strategic goals
• Coordinate day-to-day communication with key internal partner teams
• Support projects as required by the CEO, Chief Revenue & Business Offer, or SVP of Strategy & Business Development
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and minimum of 4 years of experience that includes a combination of the following:
• Management consulting or investment banking, preferably within a Media, Technology & Telecom practice
• Business development, strategy, corporate development, or corporate finance at a media or technology company
• Proven strategic and analytical skills, including significant financial modeling experience
• Solid interest in the media industry
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Presence and ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management
• Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Humble, positive, team-first mentality with a desire to learn and get better every day
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
