Responsibilities

The Business Operations & Strategy group is looking for exceptional candidates for the position of Manager, Local Ad Sales Strategy. This role will focus on developing strategies and leading workstreams to support the integration of National and Local Ad Sales.

You will be joining a blue-chip team with significant media experience in addition to varied professional services backgrounds. The NBCU Ad Sales Strategy team is responsible for driving long-term growth opportunities for the wider sales organization. Acting as strategic consultants, this dynamic team supports Ad Sales and corporate stakeholders across a wide range of initiatives including sales optimization, go-to-market strategies, budgeting and planning analyses, and market insights

For this specific opportunity, we are seeking a candidate with a diverse set of skills and qualities including innovative strategic thinking, stakeholder management, rigorous analytics, a passion for growing digital businesses and a proven track record of getting things done.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Integration Leadership: Support the overall strategic development and transformation of the local sales team through integration with national sales
• Digital Strategy: Accelerate growth in our local digital business through updating our go-to-market strategy and realizing synergies with the national organization
• Upfront Strategy: Design and partner with internal teams to sell in the optimal strategy for driving revenue across NBCU National and Local partnerships and clients
• Client Strategy: Explore new opportunities and potential 3rd party partnerships for our clients to benefit from our combined national and local organization
• Ad-Hoc Sales Support: (1) Work cross-functionally to coordinate and execute all Ad Sales efforts between NBCU National and Local; (2) Identify new revenue opportunities via internal analytics/market/sales feedback; (3) Perform research on competitive intelligence, benchmarking and trend analytics across the local media landscape to inform our strategy

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
• Must possess a passion for problem solving and relationship management and strong intellectual curiosity
• 4+ years previous relevant work experience; this could include professional services (e.g., consulting, investment banking) or Strategy (sales or product) experience at a large network/publisher/agency
• Deep understanding of media landscape
• Proven quantitative analytical abilities, including Excel modeling skills
• Strong PowerPoint skills and proven proficiency summarizing information/analyses into coherent and concise slides
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; the ability to present results of complex analyses clearly; strong executive presence
• Excellent organizational, time and people management skills and the ability to work in groups and independently
• BA/BS or equivalent experience

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older

Desired Characteristics
• Prior experience in digital advertising at a technology or media company
• Ideal candidate is a proactive, entrepreneurial individual who possesses the ability to take initiative and perform analysis and other tasks with minimal supervision, including the ability to deal with competing priorities effectively, and work efficiently in a high-paced, results-oriented environment
• Passion for diving into complex concepts, defining value propositions and championing the voice of sales
• Comfortable working in the 'undefined' and shaping definition of opportunity
• Ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of the organization
