Job Description

Responsibilities
The Ad Sales Finance Manager is responsible for taking ownership over ad sales revenue projections for brands within Entertainment & Lifestyle Group (ELG). This role provides the unique opportunity to gain a solid understanding of NBCU Ad Sales through daily exposure/interaction with Sales, Planning, Research, and Finance functions.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Create, own and maintain financial models for network ad sales revenue for all key financial forecast cycles (Budget/Long Range Plan/Estimates), and weekly pacing/reporting against these forecasts
• Work closely with planning, sales, inventory and other operational teams to identify financial risks/opportunity, and communicate to finance leadership
• Own Revenue Recognition / Monthly Close Processes
• Work with Planning/Strategy and Sales Leadership in core Sales functions:
• Pricing Analyses
• Revenue modeling for business development/partnerships and growth strategy investments
• Improve depth of existing reporting to provide better analytical tools for both Finance and Sales teams
• Report directly to Senior Manager, Ad Sales Finance

Qualifications/Requirements
• Four-year degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited college or university, preferably in Finance or related field
• Minimum 4+ years of experience at a media company, agency, sales organization or in finance, pricing, or planning groups
• Comprehensive understanding of and ability to interpret financial information.
• Strong analytic, financial modeling and critical thinking skills
• Ability to perform in-depth, detailed analyses and summarize key takeaways
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline oriented environment
• Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills – Ability to work well and communicate effectively in a cross functional, matrix environment
• Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative in challenging situations
• MBA/CPA Preferred
