Job Description
Responsibilities
Role Purpose
Manager, Accounting and Reporting, will be responsible for various accounting and reporting requirements for the Filmed Entertainment Segment to NBCUniversal Corporate and external parties. The role is in a fast paced environment with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities
• Key contributor to the month and quarter close process with oversight of our Third Party Distribution liability balance.
• Review third party distribution contracts and accounting memos for gross vs net presentation.
• Coordinate with and manage deals with our home entertainment and TV distribution business partners
• Preparation of GAAP reporting to external partner(s)
• Ownership of distribution-related master data, including advising internal business partners, monitoring of business-created data, and set-up of film-specific data
• Establish and/or improve processes/controls over historical activity reconciliation and future payments.
• Review quarterly account reconciliations, driving proficiency within the parameters of NBCUniversal policies.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of the quarterly Balance Sheet review package to Global Controller and CFO.
• Key contributor to the quarter close and financial reporting processes, including review of journal entries, variance analysis and supporting schedules.
• Perform technical accounting research as required, assist in providing technical guidance to and work with business units to implement new standards as necessary.
• Manage and develop Film HQ controllership staff
• Drive initiatives that identify process improvement opportunities and build efficiencies into existing reporting routines.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed; role is likely to take on additional responsibilities in other areas of the business once proficient in primary responsibilities.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of accounting related experience. Combination of public accounting and entertainment industry preferred. Straight public candidates with significant experience working with entertainment industry and relevant technical accounting matters will be considered.
• CPA preferred
• Strong / exceptional Excel and Word skills and working knowledge of Powerpoint
• Knowledge of Business Warehouse / SAP preferred
