Responsibilities
Role

The HR Manager will support the Sales & Customer Success Teams of the Youth & Recreational Sports division of NBC Sports Next . This role will support the full range of HR strategic and operational support including staffing, on-boarding, off-boarding, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, and employee communication. T his role will also collaborate and partner across the NBC Sports team on cross-portfolio initiatives including managing our diversity practices and outreach agenda, learning & development programs along with employee engagement activities.

Responsibilities:
• Support the full range of HR strategy and operations including staffing, on-boarding, off-boarding, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, and employee communication
• Act as primary point of contact for the day-to-day questions/issues that arise from employees
• Provide interpretation of HR policies, practices and procedures to employees and managers
• Support and facilitate organizational changes
• Coach and counsel employees and managers regarding employee issues and concerns
• Work with managers to build a career path for employees, identifying opportunities for training, new skill acquisition, and advancement
• Work with department leaders, and staff to establish and maintain a positive work environment which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities
• Work to resolve employee and organizational issues in a proactive and positive manner.
• Support the staffing process in concert with our internal talent acquisition team to implement recruitment strategies as well as ensure diverse candidate pipelines and quality candidate selection.
• Process transactions in HR systems including promotions, new hires, terminations, organizational changes, etc. through required workflow processes as needed.
• Liaise with HR specialists and partners, including Benefits and Payroll, to manage and resolve employee inquiries

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Management, or related field
• Five+ years of relevant professional level HR experience

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Minneapolis, MN
• Must be willing to travel for work related business as necessary

• Previous experience working in a highly matrixed organization a plus
• Demonstrated coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills; change agent
• Strong knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations related to the Human Resource function (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.)
• Proficient with Office & Windows programs, and HRIS systems; preferably SAP
• Effective influencing capability, established executive presence
• Strong employee relations skill set; can earn trust and credibility with employees
• Demonstrated ability to translate 'big picture' business strategy into an executable HR plan
• Must have ability to execute both strategic and tactical priorities.
• Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
