Responsibilities
About The Role
The Head of Media & Creative will manage the media & creative teams, having oversight of paid media, digital communications, social communications, management of marketing budgets and production of all creative materials for all Universal & WB films.

The Head of Media & Creative will work with the broader marketing team & Media Leads to achieve maximum value and exposure for the business. This is achieved by leveraging our investment and delivering an integrated marketing campaign that compliments the publicity, partnerships and sales/distribution strategies. A core function of this role is the external management of the media & social agency relationships ensuring that service is of the highest standard and trading objectives are delivered on.

This role will also oversee the approval of media plans and topline budget management for New Zealand, ensuring a streamlined approach to media planning and implementation.

This is a fixed term contract role for 7 months, with potential to be extended up to 12 months.

What You'll Do
• Lead the media planning process for each film driving local market media & creative strategies.
• Drives media & creative implementation processes, ensuring smooth deployment, execution and campaign optimization
• Manages the media team to develop campaign plans covering online and offline media including TV, Print, Radio, outdoor, digital as well as ensuring competitive cost benchmarking, creative innovation and best in class media practices are applied.
• Provides leadership and guidance for 7 direct reports across media, production and general marketing
• Works with the media agency to find ways of measuring marketing efficiencies and optimising marketing mix
• Manages annual agency contracts, TV deals and third party auditing.
• Working with agency and internal teams to drive a learning agenda and accelerate our best in class media practices
• Drive innovation and industry-leading media activations
• Ensures a consistent marketing approach for ANZ and signs off on NZ media approach and budgets
• Manages the total marketing budget and financial reporting for the marketing department.
• Signs off on all media and creative expenditure including managing SAP approvals and agency finance processes.

Qualifications/Requirements
What You'll Need
• 10-15 years of media planning and buying experience across offline and digital
• Leadership experience managing teams of 7+ direct reports
• Financial acumen and familiarity in managing large budgets across multiple campaign projects
• Deep familiarity with the media landscape
• Experience in integrated marketing campaigns with a focus on TV & Digital
• Clear communications, leadership and senior stakeholder management experience.
• Strong industry relationships with key media partners
• A keen eye for detail and passion for creative marketing and media
• Ability to operate and succeed in an ever-changing environment
