Freelance Field Shop Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

PLEASE NOTE: This is a project / limited term position with an estimated duration of 2-3 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

Role Purpose:

The Field Shop Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting Remote Technical Operations and Engineering efforts. Reports directly to Sr. Remote Engineer.

Responsibilities:
• Assist Sr. Remote Engineer with testing and preparation for all technical systems deployed to NBC Sports venues.
• Organize, scan, & pack technical systems for venue deployments.
• Build equipment lists and manage shipment requests using NBC proprietary OEMS software system.
• Act as liaison with NBC Technical Logistics group for shipping and receiving.
• Reconcile, test, manage repairs of all incoming inventory.
• Other technical and physical tasks required for the installation of a television production

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• College Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a utility, gaffer, grip, production assistant or related
• Knowledge of television equipment preferred
• Basic knowledge of broadcast or production logistics or related preferred
• Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
• Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends.
• Willingness to travel to and from Monroe, CT on an as needed basis.
• Possible opportunity to travel to remote based events
• Ideal candidate would be interested in technical systems/software programming.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
