Responsibilities

Reporting to the Distribution Director, the Distribution Manager will participate in the management and supervision of the department, offering support and assistance to the entire team where needed.

The candidate will manage the supply of transmission material from multiple product owners to international broadcasters, local EST/VOD platforms and premium video on demand providers within EMEA, working closely with our sales liaison team to meet challenging deadlines.

The individual will demonstrate excellent customer focus and communication skills, with an aptitude for problem solving and workflow design. They work well under pressure, with the ability to remain calm and productive.

This individual thrives on change, and opportunities to find flexible and adaptive solutions for new commercial requirements. They have excellent project management skills, and organizational ability.

The candidate is a confident and engaging presenter, who can operate and interact at many levels in the organization. They are also analytical, decisive and a negotiator with strong technical knowledge and awareness of industry trends. This individual is able to support his/her line manager in strategic planning and representation, whilst demonstrating that they are a self-starter, able to engage the London Distribution team in delivering on day-to-day objectives.

The individual will play a key role in leading extensive SVOD research projects and offering the first line of support to various SVOD Servicing teams across the organization, ensuring excellent customer service at all levels.

In addition, they are also responsible for the supply of transmission material from multiple product owners to international broadcasters, local EST/VOD and Premium Video on Demand providers.
• Manage own non servicing projects to be determined in alignment with business objectives and needs.
• Handle all forms of special projects requested by Los Angeles group as needed to support entire department.
• Backup to Director during absences, supervising day to day servicing activities of London team and communicating with Los Angeles office on all issues.
• Be a central contact for internal and external servicing queries during Director's absence and assist while present.
• In conjunction with Director identify goals for the department, shape procedures and development of processes.
• Collaborate with sales offices, Los Angeles, Legal, Finance and Technical to ensure that all deals are actively and well managed.
• Work with the Director to anticipate and support new technology opportunities.
• Use their strong technical knowledge to solve problem issues, and work with the Director to review workflows and the adoption of new technical opportunities.
• Review and analyze client contractual and technical requirements in order to fulfill material requirements. Distribution of, but not limited to, transmission and publicity materials (Digital files, tapes, subtitles, audio tracks) to broadcasters in adherence to all contract specifications and in the latest formats.
• Coach direct report (s) to build a high performing team. In addition, also share responsibility for recruitment and training of new starters.
• Managing client relationships and all timelines working within a multi-disciplinary team covering multiple time-zones from both sides of the globe.
• Liaise with facilities in London and L.A. to ensure materials are dispatched in a timely fashion and to spec. In addition, with local and international vendors to order a varied number of elements depending on client requirements.
• Pull in and manage the creation of localized materials from global dubbing facilities to meet client's license agreements and organize the costs for accessing.
• Adapting and actioning on fast moving transmission critical situations as and when they occur whilst managing clients expectations during stressful scenarios.

Qualifications

Essential Skills required:
• Experience in an up-to-date video and film technical, digital file environment is essential
• The ability to liaise internationally with proven client services experience
• Experience in reading and understanding contracts and the terminology used.
• The ability to work on own initiative, prioritize workload, manage tight deadlines and good time management skills
• An understanding of database systems and computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheet packages.
• An interest in the global landscape of film and TV.
• Good organisational skills and flexibility are essential.
• Good teamworking skills and a positive attitude towards collaboration.
• High level of written and verbal communication

Desirable Skills:
• Fluency in another European Language
