Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Global Finance Operations Record to Report group is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as the Director, Global Account Reconciliations Quality Assurance. This highly visible role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, continuous improvement of best practices, methodologies, and driving the new account reconciliations standards via an enterprise-wide account reconciliations evaluations program. The Director will also be a key participant in the NBCU Blackline Hyper-automation and Account Reconciliations standardization project. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical accounting expertise, leadership and communications skills, and a passion for driving excellence in our operations.

Responsibilities:
• Strategy Development: Develop and articulate a clear vision and strategy for the Account Recons Quality Assurance Center of Excellence team, aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Evaluations Program Development: Develop evaluation methodology to support the newly created Global Account Reconciliations Quality Assurance Program, such as evaluation scoping, risk assessment, evaluation method and cycle, documentation, reporting and follow-up.
• Evaluation Execution: Perform evaluation, include process walk thru with business stakeholders, understanding the controls around the process, review documents and records, analyzing the data to assess compliance and control effectiveness.
• Governance and Oversight: Establish governance structures and processes to oversee the implementation of best practices, standards, and methodologies across business units and functions. A highly visible role with exposure to Comcast and NBCU Global Controller.
• Knowledge Management: Lead efforts to capture, document, and disseminate best practices, lesson learned, and knowledge assets to facilitate organizational learning and continuous improvement.
• Training and Development: Develop and deliver enterprise-wide account reconciliations training programs, providing guidance and support to the company on best practices and standards.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness and impact of the Quality Assurance Program and regularly report on progress to senior management.
• Change Management: Drive change management efforts to promote adoption of best practices and standards, overcome resistance to change, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, business units' leaders, collaborate to improve the current account reconciliations process and standards
• Transformation Initiative: Collaborate with Global Process Owner to support the NBCU Blackline Hyper-automation and Account Reconciliations standardization project.
• Team Management: Manage staff, develop them into mature accounting professionals. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in accounting
• CPA or CIA certification required
• Strong US GAAP and technical accounting knowledge, processes, internal/external audit, and controls background
• 6 + years' experience in public or 8+ private accounting with experience in a leadership role overseeing strategic initiatives, or organizational transformation efforts
• 3-5 years prior management experience required
• Solid background in areas such as project management, process improvement, quality management, or innovation management
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, build consensus, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives, and effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
• Change management expertise, with a demonstrated ability to lead organizational change initiatives and manage resistance effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively
• Proficiency in a variety of systems including MS office suite of tools (Word, PowerPoint and high-level Excel spreadsheet such as familiarity of macros, pivot tables, lookup, IF functions)
• High attention to detail and accuracy in work, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Proactive and self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs
• International experience preferred (understanding of currencies and FX)
• Entertainment industry preferred

Additional Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY or Universal City, CA
• This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary Details
Salary Range: $125,000 to $170,000 Per Year ($ USD)
