Job Description

Role Summary

The Digital Ad Sales Finance team is seeking an experienced professional to join as the Director, Ad Sales Finance, reporting into the Vice President, Ad Sales Finance. This position will work closely with a cross-functional team across the Ad Sales organization and focus primarily on partnerships and analytics. The direct will also be the lead for all Hispanic vertical related digital ad sales including forecasting, pacing, and reporting. Analytic responsibilities include the financial modeling of all new business initiatives, growth opportunities and strategic priorities of NBCU's $8B+ national advertising sales business.

We are looking for an exceptional, results-oriented individual who uniquely combines the interpersonal skills to act as a primary liaison between the Ad Sales Finance team and the internal constituents within the Ad Sales Division, who also has the quantitative skills to analyze and model the financial implications and results of NBCU's strategic advertising opportunities.

This role provides the unique opportunity to gain a solid understanding of NBCU Ad Sales through daily exposure/interaction with Pricing, Sales, Planning, Marketing, Research, and Division Finance functions.

• Work closely with the Vice President, Ad Sales Finance Strategy in developing all financial models and analyses for Hispanic, Partnerships, and new initiatives
• Own the financial close, weekly reporting, and pacing process for Hispanic, Partnerships, and portfolio products
• Oversee Ad Sales Finance responsibilities for all Hispanic properties including:
• Revenue forecasting (annual budget, quarterly forecasts, long range plan, monthly operational reviews and other estimates and presentations as required)
• Analyze and report sales risks and opportunities against targets by identifying core drivers (ie: traffic, pricing, sell-thru, etc.)
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Strategy, Planning, Marketing, Research, Operations, Sales, etc.) to evaluate financial impacts and monetization priorities needed to drive rapid revenue growth
• Build and present detailed financial models, including monetization opportunities, scenario analysis, cost and resourcing needs, and present findings to senior leadership
• Cultivate strong relationships within Ad Sales Strategy team to identify, initiate and lead the financial analysis of strategy initiatives
• Leverage best practices with peers to develop consistent processes for the entire Digital Portfolio
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of two finance professionals


• B.A., B.S. in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of finance experience

Preferred Experience:
• Prior Ad Sales experience preferred
• Prior Digital experience highly preferred
• Prior experience in a finance role supporting an ad sales function within a media or entertainment company highly desired
• Ability to build financial models (i.e.: advanced excel skills) and presentations for senior leadership

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
