Responsibilities
The Director, Advanced Advertising Strategy and Partnerships is a critical role that is focused on growing and scaling NBCU's advanced advertising portfolio and supporting business & product initiatives that contribute to growth. The position will focus on four key areas: growth strategy, business and product analytics, executive & external communication, and strategy & operations support for the advanced advertising businesses. The growing prominence of data-enabled products in NBCU's business model makes this a critical role for the ad sales organization and one that is focused on driving change and identifying significant growth opportunities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Growth Strategy:
• Identify, initiate and drive growth strategy initiatives for advanced advertising, enabling rapid revenue growth in collaboration with sales leadership and senior stakeholders across NBCU departments and partner organizations
• Support the VP of Advanced Advertising Strategy and Partnerships to lead business planning initiatives for advanced advertising sales and agency & client partnerships, including development of the annual financial plan, and associated resource planning and organizational strategy
• Partnering with Ad Sales Management on go-to-market strategy (Upfront strategies, consortium-based initiatives, multi-platform selling, outcomes based solutions, etc.)
• Driving monetization of new offerings by establishing the selling strategy and operationalizing end-to-end processes for new products & partnerships
• Lead automation initiatives to enable more advanced advertising clients

Business & Product Analytics:
• Comprehensive analysis of advanced advertising businesses to evaluate profitability overall and at a granular product level
• Assessment of market size, monetization, scale and cost structure
• Client, category, and product analysis on areas for growth (demand side modeling)
• Yield Analytics (performance, pricing, utilization, mix) to drive smart selling and strategy
• Developing robust metrics driven processes to evaluate sales conversions, business performance and growth opportunities
• Competitive landscape and industry analysis and trending

Executive & External Communication:
• Ability to distill complex media, advertising and technology concepts into clear and simple executive communications
• Support regular executive communications and updates with NBCU senior leadership
• Work with Product to set priorities and roadmap
• Ability to represent NBCU and it's products in market

Strategy & Operations Support:
• Partner with key sales support stakeholders from Product, Agency & Agency Partnerships, Planning, and Research on analysis to support ideation and commercialization of new advanced advertising products and strategizing solutions to put the organization in the best position to scale
• Determine internal products required to streamline existing and/or new operations

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in either strategy, product, reporting, corporate finance, management consulting, sales or a combination of the above
• Experience in advanced TV, digital media, and sales
• Exceptional, results-driven and focused individual, combining a quantitative outlook with the ability to organize, motivate and lead stakeholders across the company to drive change
• Passion for diving into complex concepts, defining value propositions and developing growth strategy
• Analytically-driven thought leader who can perform business analysis and real-time tactical execution of priority initiatives
• Ability to communicate and work in a fast paced, results oriented environment, and aligning the interests of multiple stakeholders
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding interpersonal & networking skills
• Advanced quantitative and analytical skills
• Ability to travel as required
