Job Description

We are looking for a Coordinator of New Hire Programs and Experiences to support the day-to-day administration of the Team Member experience for Orientation and Onboarding. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail while also having a relentless focus on practical application that is grounded in the realities of what our Team Members face day-to-day.

At the core of this role, you will:
• Ensure each course from the New Hire Programs and Experiences team is set up for success
• Support the overall L&OD team in office and training room capacity
• Be the primary point of contact for New Hires for all NHPE courses
• Support the vision and strategy for NHPE
• Coordinate with key partners to ensure seamless handoff of process through the New Hire onboarding experience

Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary point of contact for new hires during orientation to address questions, provide guidance, and resolve any issues that arise.
• Ensure all New Hire materials and communications are sent to New Hires throughout the orientation process.
• Organize logistics of the Universal Way Summer Challenge and actively support its success.
• Ensure all paperwork and documentation is completed for each program.
• Support and facilitate our company-wide orientation program, welcoming New Hires from every population.
• Support the greater L&OD team with training room management, including, but not limited to inspection of training rooms ensuring they are in working order for training needs, reporting any technical/AV errors to proper parties, and ensuring all tables and chairs are properly maintained.
• Interact in-person with large volume of Team Members and Operations Managers at Universal Studios Hollywood
• Process office supply orders for the greater L&OD team.
• Ensure proper crediting of all LMS modules for new hires.
• Facilitates other in-person learning programs as assigned by Director or Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• High School Diploma/GED Required. Bachelor's degree preferred; Human Resources, Business, Communication or related field preferred.
• Must be able to flex their schedule as needed to be available to work on weekends, holidays, and nights as required by the Manager of Learning & Development
• Demonstrated ability to work with large groups of people while upholding guest service standards and maintaining composure.
• Must be able to work in a busy outdoor theme park environment as well as in an office.
• 1-3 years of proven work experience supporting and working with different personalities and solving problems with little information.

• Professional and personable with the ability to exercise sound judgment when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters
• Demonstrated ability to drive L & D processes and to deliver high quality service to our Team Members

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ideal candidate demonstrates accountability, thinks critically and demonstrates courage when presenting ideas
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Additional Requirements:
• This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
