We are NBCUniversal's enterprise-wide Standards department. Our team develops and implements content policies that center our viewers and excite our collaborators, including creators, advertisers, and brand partners, to deliver the best experience for all audiences. We support innovative ad products and culture-defining entertainment programming while ensuring that NBCU's advertising and program content reflects the sensibilities of our company and respects our diverse community of fans across broadcast, cable, and streaming.

We seek to add a capable, highly motivated Coordinator to our team. As the West Coast Coordinator, you will provide a broad range of assistance to the department, supporting our broadcast, cable and streaming properties. You will serve as a department liaison in our interactions with internal divisions and external partners. You will also provide direct administrative support to the head of the department as needed. You will possess effective communication and organizational and diplomatic skills, excellent multi-tasking skills, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment, while maintaining strict confidentiality.

This position is based in Los Angeles, CA and reports to the Senior Director, Standards, TV & Streaming. As we are a geographically distributed department with teams in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York, you will be expected to partner effectively and collaborate seamlessly with our other department Coordinators.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Provide broad administrative support to the department, including scheduling and assisting with department meetings and presentations, maintaining department records, updating and tracking assignments, reconciling expenses, and ordering supplies.
• Provide direct support to the SVP, Standards, TV & Streaming including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and assisting with projects.
• Serve as the main point-of-contact for department inquiries including commercial approval status and website registration requests, general IT matters and issues with internal systems.
• Proactively monitor department systems and processes and develop and implement innovative ideas that improve the way we work and support cross-team collaboration and information sharing.
• Operate the delay mechanism during live programming, including outside regular work hours, and assist with delay operator scheduling.
• Maintain complete confidentiality and discretion regarding all business matters.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one (1) year of full-time work experience; prior administrative support, media internship or Page Program experience a plus.

Requirements:
• Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, including cross-team synchronization, project management, and presentation skills.
• Must be able to successfully complete a high volume of time-sensitive tasks in an expeditious and precise manner in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess strong interpersonal instincts and a demonstrated ability to engage in sensitive and difficult conversations as the nature of our work may require discussion of sensitive subjects that appear in content undergoing review.
• Must be willing and available to work some evening and weekend hours to meet operational needs, including show production schedules and ad review deadlines.
• Must be available to be on set for live shows as needed.
• Must demonstrate respect for all and help to foster an equitable and inclusive environment.

Desired Characteristics:
• Technologically savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office 365 tools including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and OneNote.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, work efficiently, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively.
• A passion for diverse film and television content including broadcast, cable and streaming offerings across the industry.
• Proficiency in Spanish a plus.

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
