Job Description

We are NBCUniversal's enterprise-wide Standards department. Our team develops and implements content policies that center our viewers and excite our collaborators, including creators, advertisers, and brand partners, to deliver the best experience for all audiences. We support innovative ad products and culture-defining entertainment programming while ensuring that NBCU's advertising and program content reflects the sensibilities of our company and respects our diverse community of fans across broadcast, cable, and streaming.

You will need a talent for project coordination with a focus on onboarding new systems and troubleshooting solutions. As the Content Solutions Specialist, not only will you be reviewing NBCU's advertising and programming content for Standards and Practices, but you will also assist in evaluating the effectiveness of department workflows and systems as they relate to content review across the NBCU. You will also support these updates and guide them from conception to launch. Success in this role requires that you thrive in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment, are comfortable working through ambiguity, and can solve problems creatively and collaboratively.

This position is based in New York, NY and reports to the Senior Manager, Standards. We are a geographically distributed department with teams in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York, so you will be expected to partner effectively and collaborate seamlessly with colleagues spanning different time zones and regions to ensure consistent and effective solutions across our team.

Please note this is a hybrid role; candidates must be able to work 3-days per week on-site out of our NYC offices with flexibility to adjust as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities include:
• Ensure NBCU's advertising and programming content complies with internal and external standards, laws, and regulations while being cognizant of public policy and community acceptability considerations.
• Review advertising and program content from concept to locked final for compliance across a variety of NBCU properties and provide clearly articulated verbal and written notes communicating practical, constructive guidance for content.
• Assist in driving solution strategies that improve processes across the Standards department including contributing to internal systems and workflow development, providing technical training, and supporting lifecycle management.
• Act as a bridge between the Standards team and our internal and external technology partners by understanding changing business needs and translating complex, technical information into accessible, persuasive language.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to help ideate, shape, and operationalize solutions.
• Memorialize processes, document new and revised workflows, and track and report on solution performance to encourage data-driven decision making that is reflective of evolving department needs.
• Proactively learn about cutting-edge technologies and solutions that will improve the way we work, and continually explore creative uses for existing technologies.
• Operate the delay mechanism during live programming, including outside regular work hours.

Qualifications
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years full-time work experience in related field; project coordination and/or technology experience a plus.

Requirements:
• Able to build rapport with various stakeholders quickly and possess confidence to express expertise while accepting feedback and others' points-of-view in a highly collaborative environment.

Desired Characteristics:
• Strong interest in content regulation and compliance.
• Familiarity with consumer product testing methods, experimental methods, and survey research methods.
• The nature of the work performed may require discussion of sensitive subjects that appear in content undergoing review. Hence, a demonstrated ability to engage in sensitive and difficult conversations is a plus.
• Professional experience in a corporate, clinical or consumer research setting.
• Proficiency in Spanish a plus

Salary range: $65,000 - $80,000
