Responsibilities
KVEA-Channel 52 is looking for a skilled and competitive Associate News Producer to build on it's award winning news portfolio. Position will be required to write and help with the production of a daily live newscast using all of the resources of the NBCUniversal brand.

Job Responsibilities:

Support and assist the production of all elements involved in a local show. As an Associate
Producer, you will be responsible for fulfilling all content needs for our shows as requested by Producers and Managers.
Organize editing and coordinate all graphic elements needed to provide the right content for live programs assigned to you on a daily basis.
Assist in the production of all aspects of a live program on a daily basis.
Review scripts, video and feeds in a fast paced deadline driven environment.
Write scripts and approve copy as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Technical degree in Communications and/or Journalism.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in electronic media.

Excellent writing skills, solid editorial judgment.

Minimum one year TV research, media or agency experience.
Must have Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to speak, read and write fluently to a native speaker standard in Spanish and English.

• Ability to work overtime, holidays and on weekends with short notice
• Requires a flexible schedule with ability to work any of a 24x7 shift
Must be able to work weekends, longer hours or varying shifts when necessary to meet production and broadcast deadlines
Must be 18 years or older
Must have unrestricted work authorization to live in the United States

Desired Characteristics

DESIRED:
• Non-linear editing experience
• Knowledge of i-News
• Knowledge of digital platform integration (Web, Mobile, Social Media)
