Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
NBCUniversal Entertainment First Run Syndication is seeking an Assistant to the Musical Director to work with all day to day operations as outlined below for ''The Kelly Clarkson Show.'' This is a Run of Show position.

Essential Responsibilities:

Band Rehearsal Days:
• Operate the Logic Pro Recording rig
• Export rough mixes of all rehearsal version for KC, Lighting and Producers. Including full 2 mixes, Instrumental mixes, SMPTE references, and exporting overdub parts to Ableton
• Update and export all changes night before or morning of Show taping
• Build Ableton Live sessions for the week to match scripts

Show Tape Days:
• Handle editing of any band overdubs
• Facilitate receiving of files from Music Mixer for Music Director to tune vocals
• Get Board mixes for all episodes
• Edit to grab all cues and kellyokes
• Name and Archive all show bumpers into dropbox folder
• Cross reference short scripts and 2mix to create cue sheets
• Assign writer, publisher and split information to Short scripts and export as excel to send off
• Database maintenance to include episode Numbers, Dates, Kellyokes, Lyrics, Key, BPM, Artwork, Guest lists, Guest performances
• Organizing multiple computers and dropbox folders to make sure everything is properly labeled and archived
• Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of production related experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Must be proficient in Logic Pro, ProTools and Ableton Live

Eligibility Requirements:
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, California
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

• Knowledge of Post-Production workflow and software a plus

• Self-motivated with ability to prioritize work and multitask over a wide range of responsibilities
