The Assistant Manager Global Brand Marketing Catalog supports and assists the Catalog Brand Marketing team at Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) with strategic and day-to-day deliverables to maximize revenue and profitability by fully exploiting the UPHE Catalog.
The Assistant Manager is responsible for providing valuable support, managing tasks and projects that contribute and help the team achieve organization goals. This includes gathering, coordinating and distributing relevant data to key stakeholders. In addition, the Assistant Manager is responsible for managing smaller product releases and campaigns on approval from the Director.
This role must maintain a deep understanding of the vast Universal Library content in order to maximize the commercial potential.
Essential Responsibilities:
Product and Marketing
• Apply industry, consumer, and retail insights into product development and marketing campaign planning to drive thought leadership and innovation.
• Manage the requests for elements such as: Bill of Materials (BOMs), creative assets, disc masters, and bonus materials.
• Gather and compile data to help analyze product and campaign performance including: Unit and revenue performance vs. plan, retailer feedback, creative feedback, product return rates, actual COGs, OpCo performance, social marketing comments, and competitive insights.
• Assist in compiling information for Senior Management Team (SMT) quarterly review of product performance and campaign plans for key OpCos.
• Support with development on social posting calendar and schedule social postings.
• Work with creative to optimize social and paid media assets.
Financials
• Compile monthly financial data reports for review (Spider Report, Financial Tracking and Drafting Tracker).
• Gather forecasts from OpCos for product viability analysis.
• Track and update global budget.
• Submit and track purchase orders.
Analysis
• Gather data and run reports, ensuring the data is relevant and accurate.
• Brief data requests of other departments and ensure relevance.
Administrative/ Communications
• Coordinate and share global communications on Best Practices; create presentations in partnership with the Catalog Team.
• Liaise with North America and International OpCos.
• Liaise and manage the day-to-day relationship between Brand, Legal and Operations.
• Assist with the development of marketing decks.
• Communicate key dates and timelines to stakeholders.
• Manage the trafficking of marketing assets within deadline.
• Coordinate meetings and calls both in person and virtual; manage agenda and action items/follow up. Flag and appropriately elevate any issues.
• Gather and communicate competitor activity and trends.
• Manage technical product support requests including Legal and Operations for the team and the OpCos.
• Update relevant systems and documents, including financial, creative, and release schedule information.
• Communicate and help manage key dates to all team members and the OpCos.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 1 year of consumer marketing experience
• Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
