Job Description
This position sits within Decision Sciences, an organization with a charter to provide valuable insights that enable decision-making across NBCU's TV networks, FAST channels, and Peacock. The role will traverse the many distribution avenues that put NBCUniversal's content on screen in front of audiences. Responsibilities:
• Develop expertise in a variety of datasets related to TV networks and streaming services
• Contribute to analyses that contextualize NBCU's performance in the entertainment landscape across linear TV, SVOD, and FAST
• Query and analyze large datasets stored in databases using SQL
• Pull and interpret data from Nielsen and other industry reporting systems
• Build and maintain Tableau dashboards used across the company
• Monitor data sources, troubleshooting issues with internal teams or external vendors as needed
• Contribute to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work culture at NBCU
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other relevant quantitative fields
• SQL proficiency – qualified candidates will be asked to complete a skills assessment
• Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
• Strong ability to identify patterns and anomalies
• Experience compiling and transforming data in spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets)
• Experience creating slide presentations (e.g., PowerPoint, Google Slides)
• Commitment to tackling projects of all sizes with vision and purpose
Additional Requirements:
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
