Job Description

Established in 2017 by NBCUniversal Studio Group Chairman & Chief Creative Officer Donna Langley, GTDI became the first-of-its-kind diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) division for a film studio. The business-led group creates programs, initiatives and strategies ensuring that inclusion is at the forefront of Universal Pictures, Focus Features and DreamWorks Animation's work culture and content creation, both in front of and behind the camera. Since its launch, GTDI has amassed an impressive and inclusive talent pool through its live action and animation writing programs; directing and composing initiatives; and below-the-line traineeships, with more than 70% of its talent securing production credits on NBCUniversal content.

In this role, you will act as a seamless extension of the EVP, Inclusion – Talent & Content, ensuring that GTDI's vision is executed at the highest standards.

This role requires attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple critical requests across global operations. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, experienced planner with the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility, composure, and a good sense of humor.

The individual in this role must understand business priorities, demonstrate the ability to proactively anticipate needs, and drive improvements to build capacity for the leadership team. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information as well as professionalism in dealing with senior executives inside and outside of the company is critical. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the whole picture. The ideal candidate must be able to work successfully in a team environment and build effective working relationships inside and outside the group.

Key Responsibilities

1. Management of logistics-heavy complex schedule (including travel) and coordinating a high volume of meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Researching and compiling preparation material ahead of all scheduled meetings.

2. Organize, execute, and assist with team activities and industry events (e.g., prep materials, meeting agendas, logistics, post-mortem minutes, etc.).

3. Proactively keeping abreast of industry developments/trends and company news as it relates to Film, flagging top-line developments for the executives.

4. Must be able to attend external events, work extended weekday hours, and on weekends as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience assisting at the executive level or equivalent in the capacity listed above
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and OneNote) and FileMaker
• Knowledge and general interest in the film business and an organic interest in globally inclusive storytelling and content development.

Desired Characteristics
• Basic understanding of the film development process
• Knowledge of industry literary and talent agencies as well as management companies.
• Familiarity with trending and up and coming talent (writers, directors, actors)
• Knowledge and passion for commercial and specialty film narratives
• Ability to anticipate needs and problem solve.

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary Range: $47,500-$60,000; not bonus eligible, not long-term incentive eligible.
