The AdSmart Sales Account Director will play a critical role within our fast-paced advanced advertising sales team and will focus on driving revenue through our Advanced TV and Cross Platform solution suite. This role will report directly into to the VP of AdSmart Sales, will manage relationships with direct marketers and media agencies, and will collaborate internally with key stakeholders & counterparts across the NBCU organization.

The ability to operate independently and effectively at the intersection of traditional and AdTech/new media, as well as possessing extensive knowledge of and having experience with the data driven advanced advertising landscape are critical foundational components to be successful in this role. The ideal candidate is solutions oriented, comfortable with a dynamic, fast paced hyper growth environment, is a critical thinker, and works collaboratively as part of a larger cross-functional team.

• Drive Data Driven Linear and cross platform revenue from pitch to pay
• Evangelize cross portfolio and platform selling internally
• Educate agency teams as well as brand marketers on the advanced advertising marketplace, including emerging and existing advanced advertising platforms, products, technologies, and measurement and attribution offerings
• Translate data strategy into digestible insights and strategic plans and recommendations. Mastery of the ability to cut through complexity in order to create clarity and simplicity for clients is critically necessary
• Apply a broad range of creative problem-solving skills to business and client issues, combining strategic, technical and analytical excellence, and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations and proposals
• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives at once with optimal communication flow across disciplines and cross functional teams. The ideal candidate is a masterful multitasker and is adept at working seamlessly across Sales, Planning & Inventory, Data Science, Insights & Attribution, Legal, and with partner platforms
• Interpret previous customer success stories and case work and apply relevant key insights and strategies in order to create confidence and comfort in the approach among prospects
• Handle intensive levels of back and forth communication (internal and external) with all key stakeholders to ensure successful activation

Represent the AdSmart brand at relevant data centric industry events and conferences

• 10+ years of relevant direct selling experience in advanced advertising sales (Advanced TV, Data, Addressable, platform sales, OTT, Connected TV)

• Strong understanding of data driven advertising technology, advanced television, addressable television, Connected TV, targeting
• Experience managing the selling and positioning of new product offerings; managing multi-stream projects, tracking status, revenue
• Creative problem solver; can bring facts, experience, discernment, and intuition together to put best solutions forward
• Thorough understanding of advertising research, attribution, and campaign effectiveness insights across multiple methodologies
• Entrepreneurial spirit (ability to suggest enhancements, features, process out of white space) and positive ''can do'' and team player attitude and approach
• Extensive knowledge of and track record of working with key data providers and DMPs
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and communicate an idea or concept as well as distill complex concepts down to their simplest forms and principles
• Experience presenting to senior level executives & clients and in new business settings
• Strong ability to navigate complex highly matrixed sales organizations
• Self-motivated, positive and collaborative, outgoing, organized, efficient, team player and strategic thinker
• Experience working across multiple internal teams and functions
• Outstanding project management and time management skills; comfortable working under tight deadlines
