Media Specialist (part-time) - NBC Washington DC

Responsibilities

Job Duties
NBC4 & T44 in Washington, DC is looking for a part-time Media Specialist that will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a Dalet Digital Media system on shared servers. Responsibilities include:
• Ingesting feeds, transfer file tape into the system and setup shared and private files
• Troubleshooting problems reported by users and escalating issues to the IT department and vendors as necessary to resolve problems
• Monitor media pushed into Omneon playback servers for on-air usage
• Providing instruction of system use to content producers, platform managers, and other users of the Dalet system.
• Help to facilitate remote interview recordings via WEBEX, Zoom and a variety of other meeting platforms

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 1 year working with post-production process (media acquisition to playback for air)
• Minimum 2 years working knowledge in basic computer networking and operation and use of Microsoft Remote Desktop
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Must be willing to work in Washington, DC
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Desired Characteristics

Desired Qualifications
• SD and HD broadcast signals as well as Dolby 5.1 audio
• Strong knowledge of digital media file formats ( PSD, TGA, WMV, WAV, etc.)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, as well as other digital production software such as Adobe Photoshop and After effects
• Experience in Dalet software
• Minimum 1 year experience working with Adobe Premiere software
• Experience with operating microwave receive equipment
• Experience with Bonded Cell (Dejero, LiveU), Skype and an understanding of loudness levels
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving and multitasking skills
• Spanish language skills a plus
