Job Description
Responsibilities:
The Media Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management of our media assets, associated systems & workflows. This includes monitoring ongoing archiving projects, handling day to day media requests and ensuring proper SOP's are being followed. This position also interacts directly with end users, content creators and various departments. The Media Specialist will work in the Operations department.

Job Duties
• System administration: monitoring media storage, routine maintenance and purging.
• Assist with all media requests, including News, Special Projects, Digital Media, and Intercompany needs.
• Help advise producers & editors with project organization and shared project workflows between multiple operators.
• Troubleshooting problems reported by users and escalating issues to Engineering.
• Ensure that media/metadata is organized pursuant to established SOP's.
• Work with content team on getting media in and out of our systems.
• Ingesting and distributing media across various platforms

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements
• BA/BS in Communications, Journalism or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Professional experience working with Avid Media Composer & Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours (evenings / weekends & holidays) as assigned.
• Basic knowledge of digital media codecs and file formats
• Thorough knowledge of local & national sports
• Extreme attention to detail and the ability to multitask
• Strong organizational skills.
• Communicates well over email and in person
• Self-starter with a strong ability to make decisions, meet deadlines and successfully manage multiple assignments

• Must be willing to work in Philadelphia, PA
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
