Job Description
The Media Operations Specialist will perform a variety of media operations tasks in support of NBC Sports, Bay Area. These tasks will encompass Media Ingest, Records, Live Streaming, Quality Control, and Media Asset Management as well as basic support functions for the Newsroom Content System.
Job Duties:
• Record / Ingest Content into servers
• Set up live shots for newscasts/shows
• Quality control video and audio signals for live productions
• Monitor and fulfill media ingest requests
• Monitor/Manage archive workflows
• Monitor/Manage server storage space
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Associate or Bachelor's degree, certificate or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in multi-media, video, sound-music, television production environment & projects
• Fundamental understanding of Audio/Video signal flow
• Basic time management skills working under tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, verbal, and messaging
• Working knowledge of video/audio file formats
• Basic video editing a plus
Additional Job Requirements
• Must be willing to work onsite
• Must be 18 years or greater
• Must have ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

• Robust interpersonal skills for a diverse and energetic newsroom
• Self-starter, capable of managing tasks efficiently, able to self-manage with a vested attitude
• Position requires a cool, level-headed individual who works well under the pressures of ''live'' television.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, which will include nights and weekends
• Ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure
