Job Description

Responsibilities
• Work closely with HUB team to maintain Media Asset Management integrity from start of Record/Ingest to Archival process (naming convention, metadata, implementing management policies, archive and retrieval process)
• Organize media assets by clipping, renaming and cataloging studio shows, game melts, game footage, interviews, b-roll and feature footage into designated Team folders
• Work cross-functionally with News, Operations, Engineering, Marketing, Web and Social for department needs
• Basic non-linear editing to assist with clipping and exporting
• Basic Computer System Administration, monitoring media storage free space, restarting computer services and servers
• Educate users on standard operating procedures

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Communications) or equivalent work experience required
• Experience with broadcast standard formats (MXF, H.264, DNX, XML ect)
• Experience with Hive (or similar) DAM software for managing assets
• Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in similar role preferred

Additional Job Requirements
• Must be willing to work on site in San Francisco
• Willingness to work outside standard hours, and on weekends
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

Desired Characteristics

Desired Qualifications
• Familiarity with Bay Area sports
• Knowledge of delivery programs such as Hightail, Dropbox, Signiant, Aspera preferred
• Adobe creative suite including premiere and media encoder a plus
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Must be a collaborative team player who works well with others, in a fast paced, dynamic studio environment
