Responsibilities

The Director, Diversity and Inclusion is responsible for the development and mobilization of the Workforce Diversity & Inclusion strategy, initiatives, programs, and partnerships for NBC Sports. This position will play a key role in supporting the Sports Employee Resource Group (ERGs) footprint, workforce development, learning and development and community partnership initiatives. The ideal candidate will serve as an agent for change within the organization, driving the creation of a culture that values diversity in all forms and champions inclusion. This role reports into the SVP, Strategic Initiates/Head of Diversity & Inclusion.
• Develop and execute diversity and inclusion initiatives across NBC Sports
• Lead programs that support belonging, community, and inclusion
• Collaborate closely with Corporate DEI and external partners to amplify Employee Resource Group (ERG) initiatives within the division
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to support the recruitment framework to source, recruit, and build diverse talent pipelines
• Partner with the Human Resources team to develop and support workforce diversity initiatives with specific focus on development and retention of talent.
• Play significant role in directing the focus and efforts of the NBC Sports DEI Council
• Research, analyze, and compile data for leadership and the division as needed
• Manage internal and external events, community partnerships and conferences

Qualifications/Requirements
• Experienced DE&I practitioner with a minimum of 5 years experience in developing and executing DE&I programs
• Proven track record of navigating complex matrix environments
• Experience in Human Resources or Organization Development
• Strong consulting and project management capability
• Ability to manage multiple work streams

• Proven background in communicating and influencing a wide variety of internal stakeholders resulting in mutually beneficial outcomes
• Public speaking experience in small and large group forums, and excellent presentation and facilitation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, relationship-building and collaborative skills to work with diverse groups and stakeholders across the organization and at all levels
• Comfortable with data analysis and the ability to see where DEI issues and initiatives intersect with other company practices
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
• Experience delivering results in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Strong team player and able to collaborate well with others
• Bachelor's Degree
