Responsibilities: The Area Director is expected to be the expert on the local golf economy which includes detailed knowledge of golf courses, golf media, key industry leaders and competitors. With the assistance of the area sales teams, this person will use this knowledge to maximize key performance metrics. These metrics include: area sales goals, market penetration, product penetration, tee time utilization rates and local golfer participation levels. Additional responsibilities:
Job Duties
• Build, develop and manage area sales team to achieve annual sales goals
• Conduct general management functions such as performance reviews and managing employee concerns and grievances
• Lead area sales team to establish and grow relationships with golf course clients
• Develop and manage key national sales initiatives
• Contribute to strategic discussions regarding the long-term direction of the company
• Participate in the development of national sales processes and strategies
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• College degree required; computer/internet/digital sales expertise preferred
• Management experience required
• 8+ years of relevant work experience with formal sales training required
Additional Job Requirements
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
