Job Description
OVERVIEW

NBC Universal is one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies. We develop, produce and market entertainment, news and information to a global market. As part of the News Group, NBC News is a collection of innovative and powerful news brands that deliver compelling, diverse and engaging news stories including TODAY, Nightly News, Dateline, and Meet the Press. The Broadcast News finance team is committed to fostering development and engagement with all team members, and to supporting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead all NBC News FP&A activities, including forecasting, planning, and analysis for the entire Broadcast News brands including, TODAY, Nightly News, Meet the Press, Dateline, and NBC News NOW.
• Run monthly and quarterly close on behalf of Broadcast News and own all communication of actuals/estimates to News Group FP&A Team.
• Partner with SVP NBC News Finance to build annual budget, quarterly estimates, and related summaries for presentation to CFO, News Group and NBCU Corporate finance.
• Manage the Broadcast News headcount process including consolidation and submission to NBCU Corporate finance.
• Collaborate with the wider News Group finance team to deliver consistent revenue/cost views and variance summaries across all NBC News brands to mitigate risk.
• Collaboration with News Group FP&A SVP and Team as well as Controllership to drive efficiencies and best practices.
• Oversee financial management of NBC News NOW and Nightly News with Lester Holt including budget, pacing and cost estimates.
• Partner with Digital Analytics and Strategy to provide financial and viewership performance metrics for NBC News NOW Streaming Network in the AVOD market.
• Collaborate with operational show teams to understand and present strategic revenue and cost opprotunities.
• Drive clear communication and streamline processes and systems for all data and reporting across the News brands – continue to evolve and execute for a first-in-class FP&A organization.
• Mentor and train a direct report and SFA with a focus on education and development.

Qualifications
• 10+ years of professional experience in finance, ideally in an FP&A role
• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
• The ability to present recommendations and analyses in a clear and concise manner

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
• Proven experience working with programming and production finance
• Analytical mindset, curiosity, and initiative; expertise in leveraging and analyzing financial data to drive strategic decision making
• Ability to work across multiple functions and teams in a collaborative environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to present recommendations and analyses in a clear and concise manner
• MBA and or CPA highly preferred
• Proven leadership skills and prior experience managing a team
• Excellent technical and analytical skills

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
