Responsibilities

The Senior Director, News Production Engineering will lead the planning and implementation of engineering functions for NBC News & MSNBC productions. In this role, you will be accountable for the broadcast technology functions of the network, including equipment and infrastructure, as well as identifying, evaluating and developing the technological and engineering directions for news productions. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated a track record in managing high quality engineering processes specifically, within a 24/7/365 operation. The ideal candidate will bring a vision and strategy that focuses on teamwork and production excellence.

Responsibilities:
- Implements long-term strategies and objectives for the operational aspects of news productions
- Leads the team that implements the standards, controls, processes and technologies that ensure a high degree of reliability for the production system environments
- Directs and ensures efficient and organized operations to ensure technical quality of programming
- Partners with the VP, Production Editing & Engineering to ensure facility remains state of the art
- Assess all risk management issues, additions and changes in order to mitigate impact to news teams and equipment.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have experience in engineering, production operations and dealing with the demands of the production/editorial teams
- 10+ years' experience with news network engineering

Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
