Job Description

Responsibilities
This position is for a Regional Producer in Los Angeles with News Channel Responsibilities includes conducting regional conference calls, gathering regional and national news of the day, respond to network desk requests, write scripts and edit video for use by NBC affiliate stations and NBC News network shows. This is a fulltime staff job.

Job Duties:
• Respond quickly to breaking news
• Participate in daily conference calls with NBC affiliate stations in the region to gather the day's news
• Book satellite feeds for tape and live news feeds
• Select, research, write scripts and edit video for regional
• Service affiliate and network and client requests
• Communicate story developments to the assignment desk editor, national feed producer, clients and internally within NBC News Channel
• Utilize various file sharing platforms to gather video
• Clear, with the proper language, any user generated content for the feed
• Follow and communicate Rights and Clearances restrictions

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years in a newsroom environment
• Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays
• Must be able to work flexible hours during major breaking news
• Must be able to work in Los Angeles
