Post Production Manager, Digital

Responsibilities
NBC News Digital is looking for an experienced Post Production Manager to join its centralized, digital post-production unit. The ideal candidate is an extraordinary communicator and planner with a wealth of digital video production experience. They will work in concert with our senior leadership team and liaise with internal clients to facilitate the production of a variety of digital assets. They will serve as the administrative backbone of the production unit, managing staff and production schedules, budgets and communication with internal and external clients.

Job Duties:
• Track and help manage the flow of project requests and deliverables through all phases of production
• Plan, organize and communicate staffing and production calendars
• Help assess and adjust manpower assignments and hours based on operational demands and changes
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal clients in support of their production efforts
• Act as the main point-of-contact on a 24x7 basis to both internal and external clients, and business partners
• Anticipate, react to, and resolve operational issues with urgency
• Leadership role in project management, presentation, scheduling and communication
• Manage a team of post-production operations specialists

Qualifications/Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Production Management or a related field, coordinating teams, and/or other planning-related duties
- Proven interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communications skills
- Ability to manage multiple, competing workstreams and priorities simultaneously
- Expert knowledge of video production and post-production workflows
- Expertise in project management software such as Asana, Basecamp etc
- Expertise in Avid and Adobe Creative Suite
- Meticulous attention to detail
