Role Summary/Purpose:
As Executive Editor for the Business, Technology and Media unit, you will lead a team creating original and exclusive reporting for television and digital. This position requires an experienced producer or editor who has a passion and in-depth understanding of technology, consumer and business news.

Job Duties:
• Supervise and oversee editorial vision each day for both broadcast and digital
• Develop and pitch ideas with correspondents and reporters and liaise with shows and digital teams
• Work on new partnership opportunities within the organization for bigger reporting projects
• Develop and oversee long-term editorial ideas for television and digital
• Monitor daily breaking stories to determine broadcast worthiness, work with news desk and social news gathering to support coverage
• Liaison with ad sales team, as needed to create exclusive content
• Develop and implement social media strategy

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications/Additional Job Requirements
• Must have at least 10 years' editorial experience on a national level
• Must have excellent journalism, writing and research skills with demonstrated strong editorial judgment
• Must have experience in producing stories
• Demonstrate strong knowledge and interest in news and current events
• Must demonstrate impeccable storytelling and production skills
• Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
• Must be willing to travel, as needed
