Job Description
NBC4 WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio, has an immediate opening for an Executive Producer of Digital Content. The Executive Producer, the second highest-ranking member on the digital news team, oversees daily decision-making of digital news coverage, takes the point on breaking news, and supervises a subteam of site producers and breaking news reporters. The Executive Producer also tracks performance and suggests improvements related to newsletters, push alerts, and social-media promotion for our catalog of NBC4i-branded apps, social media platforms, and website.

We are looking for a successful digital journalist and newsroom leader who will work alongside the Digital Director and in concert with broadcast news managers to continue to raise the bar for digital news and to inspire the NBC4 digital team to reach its goals.

Duties, responsibilities and requirements include:
• Five years of digital news experience
• Solid news judgment, particularly in breaking news situations, and strong journalism ethics
• Website management experience, including using analytics to drive decisions
• Fact-check, review and edit content from team members for clarity and AP style
• Assist in writing news stories
• Write headlines that connect with search and social audiences
• Familiarity with: WordPress, livestreaming, photo editing software, video editing software
• Ability to quickly acclimate and become comfortable with a variety of online products and services used in website and broadcast production
• Must enjoy working in teams and be a strong communicator
• Thrive under pressure and able to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated and competitive
• Ability to act with urgency to post breaking news in a competitive manner
• Familiar with contact information for various agencies to obtain information as quickly as possible
• Regularly meets measurements of success
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management
