Digital Marketing Coordinator (National Geographic)
This role is part of the National Geographic Customer Relationship Management (CRM) & Marketing Operations team which is responsible for planning and executing subscriber acquisition and retention marketing strategies, specifically through personalized consumer journey digital experiences and engagement with our amazing digital storytelling.
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will partner with internal stakeholders and vendors/agencies on various short and long term marketing projects and executables. This role will focus on the process and deliverables related to Nat Geo subscription transaction flows, with a goal of increasing subscription conversion rates both domestically and internationally. The Coordinator will work independently, manage projects, and interact as a point of contact with internal and vendor partners, specifically to plan and deliver new eCommerce experiences and consumer communications. They will have a thorough understanding of each project to perform competitive analysis, communicate requirements to stakeholders, create project plans, identify dependencies, create, and communicate deadlines, perform accuracy checks (QA), and ensure the projects stay on track and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
• Act as key point of contact for Nat Geo subscription order pages. Review requests for new order pages, order page optimization, multivariate tests, and changes to existing order pages, and communicate requirements to third party vendors. Maintain up to date status of multiple simultaneous requests via ticketing system (Jira). Ensure clarity and accuracy of the pages for optimal customer experience, and accuracy of the metadata for accurate analytics and measurement.
• Maintain clear records of active and archived order pages, and related data via Execl or similar. Cooridnate with vendor to deprecate obsolete order pages as needed.
• Assist as needed with planning and timely hand-on execution of various digital marketing tactics related to the digital consumer journey, including but not limited to production of CRM messaging, house ads, and lead generation components on nationalgeographic.com (digital display), email campaigns, and mobile marketing production
• Manage multiple projects of varying scope and size. Clearly communicate project goals and objectives, stakeholder management, establish incremental deadlines, track progress, identify and resolve dependencies, manage the execution of deliverables, collect necessary approvals, ensure stakeholders stay focused on core objectives, and communicate results and learnings.
• Perform marketing-related research and competitive analysis as needed. This includes gathering best practices, insights, past performance metrics, and ideas within Nat Geo and Disney, from vendor and agency partners, and based on your own external research. Make recommendations to stakeholders based on findings.
Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of professional experience in marketing, product marketing, or a similar project management role (ideally in marketing).
• Impeccable attention to detail, focus on thorough documentation, and ability to meet or exceed deadlines.
• Can multi-task and context-switch with ease, in a fast-paced and ever-evolving organization with multiple work streams and multiple projects.
• Ability to lead vendor and agency relationships with authority and agency. Uses emotional intelligence to obtain results from a diverse set of stakeholders that do not report directly into Nat Geo's marketing team.
• Ability to use process and technologies to organize and make sense of a wide variety of deliverables (order pages).
• Experience working with standard office applications, such as MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with project management / efficiency platforms such as Jira.
• Experience working with eCommerce, Email/CRM, or other marketing technologies
Education
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business / Marketing or equivalent work experience
