Overview and Responsibilities

Do you have a passion for Gen Z, popular music and love creative problem solving? We are seeking a creative and high energy Coordinator, Brand Social + Fan Engagement for the MTV Entertainment Group to oversee several social platforms across MTV and VH1! This candidate will help us craft and create groundbreaking social content that celebrates music and pop culture and activate around our engaged fandoms and communities across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and more!

Responsibilities:
• Draft impactful, timely and engaging posts across multiple MTV & VH1 social handles
• Execute social media strategy that engages users and grows new audiences
• Work with the team to create detailed support plans for original digital content
• Create assets for series including gifs, images, memes and video content
• Assisting in the maintenance of a platform content calendar
• Curate weekly reports of insights to internal team
• Extend the voice of the brand and engages with active fans daily
• Contributes to the research, writing and creation of social-first content franchises
• Maintain social best practices

Basic Qualifications
• 1-2 years of work at a media company, agency with a focus on social strategy and planning (strong internship experience considered)
• Strong understanding of social platforms, user behavior and standard methodologies
• Knowledge and understanding of the MTV brand voice and audience
• Ability to design social images for distribution including, gifs and memes

Additional Qualifications
• Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills
• Pop culture enthusiast
• Track record of developing experiences that drive engagement in social media
