Senior Booking Producer, Morning in America Weekend

Responsibilities
This position requires an experienced producer who is skilled at producing hour-length informative programing from current events, and producing, editing and overseeing third-party programming. The producer is responsible for managing the delivery of content to the channel by third-party providers.
• Monitor and curate tape coming into the building for a daily one-hour newsreel
• Add banners and other overlays, including graphics, to enhance the content for viewers
• Work with an editor to package the tape into a reel of the appropriate length
• Ensure timely delivery of the daily newsreel for streaming
• Develop blocks of third-party, newsreel and Peacock show highlights for weekend and morning programming
• Identify and pitch new sources of third-party content
• Produce news content, including research, conducting interviews, writing and editing scripts, field producing and shooting, and overseeing editing
• Work with Standards & Legal Team to ensure Editorial Standards of all segments
Qualifications/Requirements
• Must have at least 5 years' editorial experience working
in production, preferably within news broadcasting
• Must be able to shoot and edit
• Must have strong journalistic writing skills, research
skills, and editorial judgment
• Must be able to script and edit copy on very short
deadline
• Must have a Bachelor's degree
• Must be willing to work overtime, nights, holidays, and
weekends, often with short notice
