The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our in-house legal team as a Consumer Products and Experiences Paralegal, working on some of the best known kids-focused brands in the world.
Reporting to our Senior Legal Director (CPE), you will assist in the licensing and merchandising side of the business. You will be an enthusiastic and pro-active team player, with good attention to detail and a passion for licensing and intellectual property.
Responsibilities:
• Draft standard licensing agreements, such as merchandise, publishing, promotional, and live event agreements, NDAs, and style guide letters.
• Support the Senior Contracts Manager with deal flow management and data entry, such as by reviewing deal memos, recording licensees and contacts in the system, activating and/or cross-checking agreements and amendments in the contract
system.
• Become a 'superuser' of Flowhaven, the contracts management system for our Consumer Products agreements, including assisting with training Moonbug staff, licensees and agents, and answering Flowhaven related queries.
• Provide legal admin support to the Consumer Products legal team, such as managing the document signing process, tracking the status of agreements (including tracking and chasing licensees for signature), managing customs recordals requests.
• Responding to queries from licensees and other members of the Consumer Products team e.g. commercial, finance, product development.
• Carry out legal research, administrative tasks and assist team members with preparation for training sessions and presentations to stakeholders.
• Run ad-hoc reports and support on projects as and when required.
Desired qualifications and requirements:
• Strong academics (degree at 2:1 or above) from a reputable university
• Drafting experience required
• Experience in contracts/account management departments is a plus
• Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise appropriately
• Methodical, meticulous, adaptable and with great attention to detail
• Quick learner with a ''can do'' attitude
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, contracts admin systems and CRM
