Job Description

Responsible for creating and developing relationships with large companies, associations, fraternal organizations, etc. in efforts to produce group ticket sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain contact with all group accounts to provide superior service with focus on retaining current business and growing ticket revenue
• Proactively prospect and qualify new group clients
• Network at team and community events
• Follow-up on all sales leads to sell group tickets and assign seat locations to group accounts
• Secure and process payments of group ticket accounts
• Assist in game-day staffing needs for group customers
• Identify and convert opportunities to drive incremental season and partial ticket plans
• Act as contact on game days for American Family Field vendors related to group sales, including caterers and Arena Americas
• Create and maintain customer information for both existing accounts and prospects through Customer Relations Management Software, including logging of phone conversations, future action to be taken, and logging customer complaints
• Attend weekly sales meetings coming prepared to provide input on creative sales ideas and provide feedback on successes and challenges of previous week
• Handle additional projects as assigned by the Director - Group Sales or by the Senior Director - Ticket Sales

Additionally, the individual may be responsible for any of the following group of responsibilities:
• Provide full year service to online and other non-traditional group contacts and affiliated organizations:
• Create and develop SuperGroups and other non-traditional Group Sales
• Work with other AE's, American Family Field Vendors, and caterers to ensure the best possible customer service to group leaders:
• Manage the booking of game day tailgate parties including Party Pavilions, Tailgate Haus, and Parking Lot Tailgates. Also, ensure that these areas are properly staffed and serviced on game days
• Work with Group Sales interns to organize and manage the group pre-sales

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or two or more years of ticket sales and/or service experience in the sports industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Work Hours

Business hours are Monday – Friday 9 am – 5pm, however, additional hours may be required on weekends, evenings and some holidays.
