Feature Producer (Simulation) - The Sims

You will be reporting to the Production Director.
Location: Remote North America - open to most North America locations
Maxis is looking for an exceptional Producer to create, share, and oversee the vision for our Simulation-focused experiences. We need someone well-versed in product experience about building product road maps, identifying key features, and ensuring the actual features match the promise of the vision. We need someone who can delegate responsibility and keep multiple groups working in tandem aligned.
An attitude towards rapid experimentation is essential. You will work with designers, engineers, narrative designers, and experience designers, to implement, play, and evaluate prototypes and core features that will turn into the shipping product.
As a Feature Producer focused on Simulation with Maxis:
Responsibilities:
• Define the vision for Simulation and gameplay experiences.
• Mentor and oversee junior producers working in the simulation group.
• Manage the prioritized road maps for Simulation experiences.
• Be comfortable with prioritizing features and scope, with an obsession for quality.
• Promote the cause of making Mobile-HD development a part of our team's DNA.
• Coordinate with Design and Development Directors for vision kick off, task tracking, and milestone check ins.
• Partner with UX to design, research, and implement features.
• Partner with UX Research to evaluate prototypes with customers.
• Help coordinate research and incorporate information.
• Share process decisions and vision with your team.
• Aid leadership with executive check ins and product milestone presentation materials. Present at regular team and studio meetings.
• Regularly evaluate features and coordinate team tests and feedback gathering.
• Use several proprietary and licensed tools and technology to test the software.
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years experience in a development team role.
• 3+ years experience in a production, lead, or design role.
• At least two shipped products in a Lead Role.
• Experience in early stage R&D/pre-production on at least one product that shipped.
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Experience working in a collaborative environments with multidisciplinary roles beyond production like design, engineering, art, and product management.
• Demonstrable experience in building/leading/improving high morale, efficient, predictable teams.
Pluses
• Experience developing for PC, Console, and Mobile platform games.
• Demonstrate experience using Mod tools, or creating customizable player experiences.
• Experience managing and mentoring producers and designers in different projects.
• Experience working with Experience Research and Consumer Insights to evaluate experiences.
• Experience writing or editing designs related to simulation, progression, and storytelling mechanisms.
• Experience developing a game with a narrative.
• Experience encouraging remote work environments.
• Hands on experience building and shipping AAA games in Unreal engine.
• Experience with a mobile touch interface, mouse and keyboard interface, and console interface.
• Familiarity with Sim progression systems, Simulation, and interactive storytelling.
• Bonus includes familiarity with game streaming (ex: Twitch, Mixer).

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $95,450 - $141,800
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $89,200 - $141,800
• Jersey City, NJ:
º $105,250 - $141,800
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $89,200 - $118,550
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $89,200 - $130,750
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
