You will be reporting to the Development Director, with the Voice group overseen by the Audio Director.
Location: Redwood City, California [hybrid, onsite]
As an Audio Artist with Maxis, you will be a voice editor/designer, joining the voice team to help deliver content for The Sims 4.
Responsibilities:
• Cultivate a mastery of voice specifically designed for our unique brand
• Engineer voice recording sessions from our onsite recording studios
• Edit, synchronize, and composite voice samples from recording sessions to compliment character animations
• Clean voice samples from unwanted mouth sounds and noise floors using industry standard techniques and software
• Test, trouble-shoot, and fix in-game bugs related to voice
• Help improve audio process and tools for voice
• Prepare for and engage with voice actor talent onsite
Qualifications:
• 3 years of voice editing on game projects or similar voice editing experience
• 1+ year of engineering experience for voice recording (podcasts, singers, VO, ADR) or similar studio experience
• Voice Experience delivering final quality audio; either from a brief or starting with placeholder sounds in software
• Proficiency with industry standard studio hardware/software (microphones, compressors, preamps, patch bays) and understanding of audio signal flow
• Voice editing expertise in relevant software packages such as ProTools, Reaper, Izotope RX
• History of listening to and working with Voice Performance from the perspective of the end-user

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

HOURLY PAY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $32 - $49 USD Hourly
The hourly rate is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
