Who are we hiring?
The Athletic Trainers will be responsible to assist with the medical care of all the performers in the Christmas Spectacular staring the Rockettes. The show consists of 150 performers including, Rockettes, chorus men and women, skaters, children and various principal roles. The athletic training program was created to support the health & wellness of the performers with an emphasis on reducing the risk of injury. This is a seasonal role and great opportunity for athletic trainers who are seeking employment in the performing arts.
What will you do?
• Athletic training coverage of all rehearsals, performances, and special events.
• Coordinating treatment plans with the in-house medical director/sports medicine doctor, podiatrist, and physical therapist.
• Maintaining & managing the athletic training facility including sanitation practices, ordering of supplies and scheduling.
• Documentation of injuries and treatments.
What do you need to s/ucceed?
• NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer, Master's Degree preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• At least 5 years of experience working as an athletic trainer.
• Knowledge of the performing arts, dance or related experience preferred.
• Experience working with electronic medical records.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, be great troubleshooters and can multi-task in a high-volume athletic training room environment.
• Knowledge and other certifications, such as Active Release Technique ART, Graston or Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization IASTM, and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialists CSCS, are welcome but not required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
• Must be receptive to working outside in inclement weather and extreme temperatures.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and to push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand and move about the theater and Athletic Training Facility throughout the duration of the shift.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment.

Hourly Pay Range
$57 - $57 USD
